Queensland 243 (Burns 97, Neser 55, Copeland 5-74) trail New South Wales 7 for 382 (Maddinson 87, Abbott 79*, Swepson 3-97) by 139 runs

A blistering 87 from Nic Maddinson put New South Wales in control of the Sheffield Shield clash in Wollongong.

Maddinson smashed 11 fours and two sixes in his 63-ball innings, which helped the Blues pass the Bulls’ first-innings total with five wickets in hand.
